6,000 kinds of roses from around the world, all blooming together

In a space roughly as large as 17 Nagoya Domes (80.7 hectares), the largest collection of roses in the nation (over 6,000 different species and 20,000 rose bushes in total) soothes the hearts of visitors. Gifu World Rose Garden's many facilities provide guests a multitude of ways to enjoy their time, as exhibitions can be viewed at the Flower Museum, seasonal flowers and foliage can be seen year-round at the Flower Greenhouse, the Flower Tower standing 45 meters tall is a sight to behold, and there's often something special to be seen at the park's outdoor venue, Princess Hall!

The aforementioned 6,000 species of roses are planted primarily in two areas – the World Rose Garden and the Rose Theme Garden. The two best times of year to visit are late May when the greatest numbers of roses are in bloom, and late October when colorful, fragrant roses come out as the temperature slowly begins to drop.
