The captivating power and beauty of Fireworks Shows in Gifu

Firework shows are indeed one of the most enjoyable things about summer in Japan. Harmonizing rhythmic launches, the beautifully spherical shapes of the initial bursts, a kaleidoscope of colors, and other elements, Japanese Hanabi are recognized as the best fireworks in the world in terms of both technical and artistic content. Along with the thunderous roar of the fireworks, the dazzling Hanabi paint the night sky with a stunning array of colors along the waters of the Nagara River, which is counted as one of the three clearest streams in Japan. You are sure to be captivated by the fireworks’ overwhelming beauty and transient nature as they flourish and disappear instantly. But Hanabi are not only confined to summer, as winter fireworks launched over a charming hot spring resort town also carry a unique charm. Representing the wholehearted skill and effort of Hanabi craftsmen who bring together the best of Japan’s traditional techniques, fireworks are a joy to behold.
