A mystical gorge with turquoise-blue water and stunning waterfalls

Hidden away in the ancient cypress forests of southeast Gifu is Tsukechi Gorge, an area famous for its brilliant turquoise waters and stunning waterfalls.

Tsukechi Gorge offers countless of outdoor activities that can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages. Walk along the 860-meter-long nature trail that passes by countless waterfalls and across bouncy suspension bridges, fish for your next meal, or just relax and enjoy the surrounding nature at one of the many campgrounds.

The nature here is beautiful year-round with bright green foliage in the spring, camping and refreshingly cool waterfalls in the summer, and warm pallets of fall leaves in the autumn. The nature trail may also be used in the winter, however, just make sure to take great precaution as the paths and steps can get slippery.
