We would like to express our deepest condolences to the relatives of those who have lost their lives, and heartfelt sympathies to those affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake on New Year’s Day. The ongoing aftershocks, as well as the intense cold weather continue to be a cause for great concern. We are hoping and praying for everyone’s speedy recovery and safety, as well as the restoration of the devastated areas.

All major tourism facilities in Gifu Prefecture have not been particularly affected by the earthquake and are operating as per normal.

Transportation from Takayama⇔Shirakawa-go⇔Kanazawa is currently accessible by JR trains and highways.

However, other transportations and services have been affected to some degree due to the earthquake.
