La Pina, the popular Italian DJ and author of the best-selling “I LOVE TOKYO” book, and “I LOVE JAPAN” guidebook showcasing all things Japan, is here in Gifu for a visit from the 27th to the 29th of September, in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan.

Born in 1970 in Florence, she is a nationally renowned DJ for major radio station “Radio Deejay”, writer and musician. A nationally recognised figure in Italy, she has also worked as a TV show host, and has about 480,000 followers on Instagram. A well-known Japanophile, she has made appearances on Japanese TV programs.

Her “I LOVE TOKYO” book, published in 2017 has sold more than 50,000 copies in Italy and was ranked No. 1 in the nonfiction category for nine consecutive weeks. Her next one, “I LOVE JAPAN” was published in September, 2020, and features 20 locations in Japan (10 prefectures), with 94 pages dedicated to six locations in Gifu (Takayama, Gifu, Mino, Seki, Monet’s Pond, and Gujo Hachiman), the most of any prefecture in Japan.
