In the blink of an eye we are already at the end of the Gujo Dance season, and what a season it’s been! And the first one back from cancellations and virtual events in the past years, much to the delight of locals and visitors.

If you weren’t able to make it for this year’s or are simply wanting more of this fun summer tradition, please look forward to the Gujo Dance Festival of 2023! The schedule will be shared here once it’s out – it’ typically held on over 30 festive nights, from mid-July until the first weekend in September.

To get the full Gujo-Dance experience, make sure to wear a yukata and pair of geta (summer kimono and traditional wooden sandals respectively), then take some time to explore the enchanting castle-town streets of Gujo Hachiman.
