Your next holiday in Japan could be happening very soon!!
Who’s ready to book a trip or two to Japan? As part of the Japanese government’s plans to resume inbound tourism, the Japan Tourism Agency has started trial package tours with 50 foreign tourists from the 24th of May. Three of these small tour groups, one from Australia, and two from the United States, spent time touring some of Gifu’s best travel spots such as Shirakawa-go, Takayama and Magome-juku while following anti-infection measures like mask-wearing and hand sanitising.
The itineraries for the three groups while they were enjoying their time in Gifu are as follows:
- UNESCO World Heritage Site Shirakawa-go ➡➡➡ Hida Takayama Miyagawa Morning Market ➡➡➡ Takayama Historical District ➡➡➡ Takayama Jinya ➡➡➡ Takayama Festival Floats Exhibition Hall ➡➡➡ Hirase Sake Brewery ➡➡➡ Magome-juku Historic Post Town
- Takayama Historical District ➡➡➡ Takayama Festival Floats Exhibition Hall ➡➡➡ Hida Takayama Miyagawa Morning Market ➡➡➡ UNESCO World Heritage Site Shirakawa-go ➡➡➡ Hida Takayama Sarubobo (baby monkey doll) making activity ➡➡➡ Hida Folk Village
- Takayama Festival Floats Exhibition Hall ➡➡➡ Takayama Jinya Hida ➡➡➡ Hida Takayama Miyagawa Morning Market ➡➡➡ UNESCO World Heritage Site Shirakawa-go
Needless to say, our visitors were beyond thrilled to be back, and so were we to have them! They thoroughly enjoyed the time they had here in Gifu and are keen to make a return. They added that the infection prevention measures were easy to follow and kept everyone safe. We have high hopes that it will be the same for everyone as well!
Looking forward to everyone enjoying all that Gifu has to offer very soon!
