It’s peak autumn season in Takayama!!

Here are some shots of the gorgeousness that is the Takayama autumn scenery taken from last week. Most of them are of Hie Shrine, the official shrine of the spring Takayama Festival. It’s also known for inspiring some of the backgrounds of the 2016 animated movie “Your Name”, and is thus an anime pilgrimage site in addition to being a popular spot to enjoy the autumn leaves.


Hie Shrine Access: 25-minute walk from JR Takayama Station or 20-minute walk from the Takayama Old Quarter on the southwestern side of Shiroyama Park
