The quaint castletown of Gujo Hachiman is another perfect place for you to spend an autumn day of exploration in Gifu. The narrow streets, closely knit townhouses, and numerous waterways are among the many highlights of this charming area.
Please note that the area around Gujo Hachiman Castle will be closed for renovations from 21st November (Mon) 2022 until late March 2023, so be sure to catch the last of the autumn views at the castle over the next two weeks!
Especially since the Autumn Foliage Light Up Event at Gujo Hachiman Castle is happening from the 9th (Wed) to the 17th (Thu) November 2022 (from sunset to 8pm, ticket counters close at 7.45pm).
No worries if you can’t make it though – it’ll reopen by spring next year in time for cherry blossom season.
