Winter illumination at Ogimachi Village for six days – an event not to be missed!
See the gassho-zukuri-style farmhouses of UNESCO World Heritage Site Shirakawa-go illuminated at night amidst a snowy white wintery landscape, creating a magical scene that looks like it came straight out of a fairytale. Finally back after a hiatus of a few years, this exclusive event occurs only six nights a year. Definitely one of the many reasons to come by for a visit especially since travel restrictions have eased!
