Do you know Oda Nobunaga? He’s one of the most well-known figures in Japanese history, one of the three great unifiers of Japan! Here in Gifu, he is really popular (there’s even a golden statue of him at Gifu Station!) since he used Gifu as his major base during his campaign to unite Japan in the Warring States period (1232-1603). He was the one who gave Gifu its current name!

The Gifu City Industry and Agriculture Festival-Nobunaga Festival is going to be held in downtown Gifu City on the first weekend of November this year from 10:00AM to 4:00PM, and it will be an action-packed couple of days that you really won’t want to miss!
