- Keep updated on local guidance. Keep up to date on the conditions of the area you plan on visiting!
If you encounter a bear:
- Back away slowly.
- Bears instinctively try to chase fleeing creatures. Back away slowly.
- Watch out for cubs! Adult bears will protect them fiercely.
- Mother bears are often found near cubs. Make your way to a safe location immediately.
River Safety
